Aimee Louise Jones

Aimee Louise Jones, age 24 was employed as a manager, and is now facing charges  relating to a four-month period from June to October 2006.

Her appearance at a Wellington District Court in Australia was excused, after her attorney explained she had secured a job as a stewardess on a United Kingdom cruise ship and was out of the country.

She faced 31 charges of intent to obtain by deception a pecuniary advantage.

Jones pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

The value of the alleged misappropriated funds was about $10,500, crown prosecutor Tom Gilbert told the court.

Though the Crown wanted her to check in with British police as a bail condition, the lack of suitable arrangements between the two countries' justice systems made this impossible Gilbert told the court.

Jones was remanded till September 19, 2007.
