On the first full night at sea, October 27, 2006, I was followed to my cabin by a member of the band. The member of the band made lewd comments and attempted to grope me.
After contacting the guest service department immediately after the incident, I was then met with threats and hostile behavior from this man and his band-mates.
After my return to New York I made four phone calls and wrote four emails and NO ONE responded.
When I finally reached a Higher level official I was told there was no record of the incident and that without it there was nothing they could do.
In addition to this, there were several racially insensitive remarks made towards me and toward others (I am of mixed heritage) which I also reported on the ship, yet again I was told there was no report of the incident.
Luckily I got the card of the agent that I spoke with on-board and they are"investigating" her handling of the incident.
All in all it was a horrible and scary experience and I would strongly caution against traveling with them.
Editor's Note: By not having any record of the incident, it makes in non-reportable to the FBI. How many cases are not reported to the FBI because there is 'no record' of the incident?
