Anthony was a contracted gospel pianist performing aboard Noordam.
His latest album was nominated for a 2006 Gospel Music Association Award.
He studied classical music at the Cadek Conservatory of Music in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He recorded nearly two dozen albums with the gospel group, The Kingsmen.

"According to eyewitnesses, Burger was accompanying Bill & Gloria Gaither and Guy Penrod on the song "Hear My Song, Lord" (several have said it was "We Shall Behold Him", but the latter song has been confirmed."
