Homegrown American Vacations
Amish Splendor In Millersburg, Holmes County Ohio

If you ask the question a million times, you will get the same answer, a million times. Why do people cruise? For the food of course!

If it is an eating vacation people want, this is great place to spend a few days or a week. I call it Buffet Heaven, but is so very much more.

Millersburg in Holmes County, Ohio had only one claim to fame, deep in the heart of Amish country, it is home to one of the largest settlements of Amish in the country. Now, it is also known as home of The World's Biggest Buffet, 600 buffet items, taking place at the Holmes County Amish Flea Market.
As of April 2009 the Holmes County Flea Market, formerly Holmes County's Amish Flea Market, will be operating in a brand new building just east of Berlin behind Zinck's Fabric Outlet.

The flea market located at 4568 State Route 39 Millersburg, Ohio is home to over 50 authentic Amish vendors. The flea market is open from April-December, Thursday-Saturday 9am-5pm.

They sell everything from meats, cheeses, bakery, fresh fruits and vegetables,  home canned goods, furniture, clothing, quilts, crafts, toys and more. You are buying all American goods, from Americans, supporting Americans 100%. You'll be hard pressed to find any other holiday destination that can make that claim.

The old location of the flea market was home to the The World's Biggest Buffet, situated not only in the heart of Amish country, but in the heart of buffet country.

Comparing the crime in Millerburgs, population 3,588 to a cruise ship of the same size, Millersburg had no murders, no robberies and only one rape in the entire year of 2007, making it safer than any cruise ship of the same size for a holiday destination. The difference is this town of 3,588 explodes with gentle people seeking a picture perfect, crime-free holiday during peak season, and it still has less crime that a cruise ship.

It is difficult to tell you where to stay while there. There are so many wonderful places to settle down for the night. You could choose a chain hotel, but why would you when you come for atmosphere, you need to soak it up.
