17 Cruise Ship Passengers Robbed In Jamaica

Carnival Conquest cruise ship passengers were robbed at gun point while on a Carnival Cruise Line sponsored excursion in the port of call at Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The passengers had embarked from Galveston, Texas on a Western Caribbean cruise.

Passengers involved included a half dozen children, and over a dozen adults including women and men. One child was said to have had a gun pointed at her head during the robbery.
The passengers had disembarked at Montego Bay to visit Lethe Estate, a banana plantation. The plantation is owned and operated by former Jamaican Tourism Minister Fracis Tulloch.
While passengers were touring the plantation, the bandits came out of the bush to rob the seventeen passengers. They escaped back into the bush with cash, credit cards, identification cards, passports, cameras and other items.
When the passengers returned the ship, word spread fast among passsengers of the horrific experience the victims encountered during their excursion.
