Courtney A. Wilson
Man Shot Dead In Boston Cruise Ship Parking Lot
August 22, 2008
In a tragic event, with reason yet unknown, a father of four children was shot dead in a car in a Boston, Massachusetts cruise ship parking lot. The man is identified as Courtney A. Wilson, age 41, from Brockton, Massachusetts.

Wilson moved to the United States from Jamaica. He lived with his family for three or four years in the quiet Brockton neighborhood.

Mr. Wilson was found dead after disembarking the cruise in the Seaport District parking lot. The car had a bullet hole through the windshield.
The parking lot is located between the Institute of Contemporary Art and Anthony's at Pier 4, an upper end seafood restaurant on the waterfront.

Investigators were trying to determine whether he was aboard the cruise ship, which docked at the World Trade Center at midnight.
Passengers had disembarked Provincetown II, which had been on a two-hour cruise celebrating Outrageous in Red, a reggae and hip-hop party. An estimated 800 passengers were aboard for the party.

Provincetown II had been chartered by Water Colors Promotions for this private party. She is owned by Bay State Cruise Company. The cruise ship embarks from Seaport World Trade Center, 200 Seaport Blvd, Harborside Boston.
State troopers working a traffic detail heard gunshots about a half hour after midnight and found Wilson in the parking lot. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to a police spokeswoman.

According to witnesses what looked like blood was spattered near shards of a broken tail light lying on the ground. The red trail ran for about 30 feet and ended in two large pools near a paved walkway, which leads to the waterside of the museum.

Police say several shots were fired during the murder.

Police are reviewing surveillance tapes and asking people who were on the cruise to come forward with photos and videos taken on the boat.
