On Wednesday July 21, 2004 Jay Garrison, his wife and friends took a snorkeling excursion while they were on Carnival Cruise Lines' Glory Mexican cruise.
The 7-day Western Caribbean cruise embarked at Port Canaveral, Florida on July 17th and returned on July 23, 2004 without the Garrisons.
The Western Caribbean cruise included Costa Maya, Belize, Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico.

Mr. Garrison's daughter tells Cruise Bruise,
"My father died after snorkeling with his wife and friends. He had a heart attack and the staff was not able to revive him.
The carnival staff dropped off my father's body along with his wife on the shore of Mexico. There they waited alone for hours until someone came to pick up the body."
