Michael Lucas arrived in Belize on a cruise ship and was taking a tour of Altun Ha when he collapsed.

The shore excursion ended tragically when around midday Lucas who was with his wife and a group of fellow cruise ship passengers touring the Maya site when he began to experience problems breathing.

He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
