P & O Artemis Hit By Rogue Wave
Ship Embarked In Spite Of Rough Weather

Weather conditions were not fit for man nor beast, when after a day delay in port, caused passengers some grief, the weather had been severe enough ground transportation had been cancelled for some trains as well as some flights due to gale force winds.

Numerous roads were closed to do wind damage and flooding rains. Even the Port of Dover was closed.

After being slapped by a rogue wave in the English Channel, Artemis has her bow damaged, with injury to her anchor stowage.

The ship immediately turned back around and headed back into port, causing even more delay to the cruise.

She was off the coast of France, when the captain decided to pull the vessel into Falmouth, unscheduled.
This was due to take the Atlantic cross as it headed to the Caribbean, but required a complete inspection and repairs before the voyage could begin again.

The ship had been schedule to call in Corunna, Spain, but due to being in Falmouth for repairs, the call was missed.

Repairs were made and this head back out to see on The ship is due in Antigua on March 19th.
