Four out of control teenagers were kicked off in Noumea and another on the nearby island of Lisou after a number of serious misbehavior incidents onboard the Pacific Sun.
On Sunday, November 26, the ship's captain was forced to kick off four schoolies in Noumea who were then accompanied by crew members back to Sydney on a commercial flight
The drunken passengers were caught urinating in corridors, over the ship's side and being involved other "inappropriate behavior".
A P&O spokeswoman yesterday confirmed five people were put off at two islands and escorted back to Sydney on a plane.
At least 1450 teenagers are on board the Pacific Sun. Leaving last Friday, the 10-day voyage was bound for Noumea and surrounding islands before returning to Sydney this Friday.
P & O has said recently that they are discontinuing the cruises they call "Schoolie Cruises". It is suspected the decision is based on many complaints about out of control behavior by teens on the cruises, at a time P & O has come under fire for doing too little too late in the Dianne Brimble case.
Schoolies cruises in Australia, are taken by 16 to 19 year olds, who are generally unsupervised. It is seen as a time to go wild, without inhibitions, and has come under fire in 2006 for the bad behavior associated with it.
One passenger described the ship, the Pacific Sun, as a "big party boat" and said they were eager to "get on the piss [booze]" and just "go nuts".
