Details:
After waiting for about 2 hours at the pier, a porter asked to take my baggage. I did not see that baggage again until about 12:30 the next morning.
After many trips to the lost luggage department, I found my luggage sitting in a pile of other luggage. When I retrieved my luggage and returned to my room, I discovered that my wallet with $500.00 cash, MasterCard, Visa Debitcard, Birth Certificate, Health Insurance cards and other personal identification items were missing.
I went to Guest Realtions and was told, "These things do not happen on the ship because of the excellent security. It must have happened while your luggage was on the pier."
I don't feel that this happened because the pier was crawling with Police and Port Authority Personnel from the bomb threat.
While at Guest Relations, I talked with another passenger who had 2 IPODs stolen from her luggage.
I filed a Personal Property Report and cancelled my credit cards, which caused a major inconvenience. We had no way of getting any more money other than what my husband had with him.
I have yet to hear one thing from Royal Caribbean Risk Management team. I tried to call them and received a voice mail telling me to send them a copy of the Personal Property Report and allow 6 weeks for a reply.
