Paul Joseph Perticone, 43, was taken to Summary Court from custody on Thursday following his arrest Wednesday. He was fined $600 for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and court costs following an incident at the Royal Watler Cruise Ship Terminal.

He pleaded guilty to using threatening language that tended to provoke a breach of the peace and resisting arrest at the Royal Watler Cruise Ship Terminal.

Crown Counsel Kirsty–Ann Gunn said police were called to a downtown jewelry store around 4pm because of Perticone’s bad behavior.

The store workers said they wanted him off the premises and warned about his behavior. Officers told Perticone they would escort him back to the terminal.

On the way, he started boasting about being a boxer. At the terminal, as they were trying to assist him to leave, he turned and said, “When I see you again I’m going to f–––ing box your face in.”

One officer then arrested him for disorderly conduct and cautioned him. It took both officers to restrain the defendant and put on the handcuffs.

He said he was from New York and on vacation.

The magistrate imposed a fine of $400 for resisting arrest, $100 for disorderly conduct and ordered costs of $100.

She asked officers to assist Perticone in making arrangements to pay the fine.

One of the officers said the defendant had credit cards with which he could obtain funds. He said the defendant would also have to fly back to the US, since his ship had left.
