On October 11, 2007 my husband and I embarked on the Royal Princess from Civitavecchia (Rome) Voyage 1726 for a 12 day Mediterranean Mosaic cruise.
After unpacking my luggage and hanging up our clothes etc. I put our luggage in the closet and put my purse behind the luggage in the closet.
After that we met our friends and went to the dining area for dinner and later for entertainment.
I did not look at my purse until our 4th day in port in Malaga and I took my purse out to get some money to take with us sightseeing. To my suprise all of my Euro dollars and American money were missing from my wallet but my Canadian money and credit cards were still in the wallet.
The total amount taken was 250 Euro dollars and 200 American dollars. I found it a little bizzare that it would have had to have been someone that had access to our cabin and the time to go through our belongings while we were out of the cabin.
I made a formal report with the passenger services desk and they
came up and did a search of our cabin but that was about it.
I felt very uneasy after that incident and took anything of value with me after that.
Of course the money was not covered on my insurance so it put a damper on my holiday.
My husband and myself will never use Princess Cruises again.
