Thompson Destiny is on a seven-day voyage around the Canary Islands and Morocco. 1,450 passengers onboard, embarked on a voyage in a cesspool, when toilets quit working, leaving them to fill up for three straight days.
A series of blockages in the plumbing system is said to have led to "mayhem" onboard Thompson Destiny.
Tour operator Thomson, who charters the vessel from Louis Cruise Lines, admitted that there have been problems with the vacuum system of the toilets, but said it was bringing in a team of "super-technicians" to fix the system overnight.
In the past, there have been passenger complaints about this vacumn toilet system. But, this time there was also no running hot water for over 24 hours.
A spokeswoman said: "The team of 10 experts will be working through the night to ensure that the problem will be sorted."
Destiny is the largest ship in the Thomson fleet, with two swimming pools, two restaurants and three bars.
