Adding insult to injury, passengers suffered through a fire, had their cruise cut short because of it, then when they got to hotel the cruise line put them up in, some found they had been robbed.
Cash, laptop computers, wallets and jewelry were among the items reported missing as the last of the passenger luggage arrived at the Fontainebleau Hilton in Miami Beach.
Passenger Travis Cocker says that when he got on the Carnival Cruise ship, he put his wallet, containing $300 in cash, and a $400 Movado sports watch away in a drawer under clothing in his cabin. The cash and the watch were nowhere to be found when Cocker got his luggage back from the cruise ship.
