Ira and Myra Leonard are both retired Hamden history professors
They had nearly $7,000 worth of jewelry stolen from their cabin after embarking on a cruise from Bayonne, New Jersey in 2004.
The couple said that, because their loss totaled less than $10,000, the cruise line would not report it to the FBI, and an investigation was not undertaken.
Ira says, "My wife and I have pursued it based on the principle."
Leonard will testify at Congressional hearings in March 2006
