Ship's Doctor Diagnosis: Ship's doctor diagnosed 13 year old boy with acute appendicitis, family forced to exit the ship in Ensenada, Mexico for surgery. Ship left port without them. Mexican doctors confimed he needed surgery. Family, not convinced,  fled Mexico and went back home, no surgery performed. Boy was seen in California and tested.
Resulting Diagnosis: Boy contracted campylobacter on the ship,  from excrement in the food. This was documented by the Los Angeles County Health Department. Family required to pay all medical expenses out of pocket, no compensation given.

Event: Slip and fall on wet floor in game area
Ship's Doctor Diagnosis: Xrays show no injury, sent back to cabin to rest and get over it, futher complain resulted in patient and spouse forced off the ship to a Cabo San Lucas hosptial for an MRI where no MRI machine existed, ship left port without them.
Resulting Diagnosis: Mexican hospital did x-rays then did a CAT scan and determined that she had two fractures to her left pelvic then charged over $3300 for a 3 day stay. No compensation was given by cruise line.
